It is my privilege to present the April 2026 volume of Imhotep Graduate Student Journal, organized under the theme: Wehemu Mesu (Repetition of the Births): Africology & Africana Studies Scholarship and Advancing the African Renaissance.
We assemble in the enduring name of Imhotep, in the shade of his intellectual house—Per Ankh, the House of Life. This issue is offered not simply as a collection of scholarship, but as an invitation—to read critically, to reflect deeply, and to engage actively with the ideas, theories, and data presented here. As a peer-reviewed academic journal, our purpose is to advance rigorous, Afrocentric, community-centered scholarship to advance Afrikan well-being.
